
Executive Director
Wasswa Achilles Kawooya
The Director provides strategic leadership to OCE to fulfill its objectives. The director is the team leader at OCE, and is responsible for the overall coordination of operations, providing support to colleagues and presenting the external interface of the organization. He is accountable for overall program development and implementation. Achilles holds a Bachelor & Master degree in Education, and has over 17 years experience in NGO and development work.

Finance & Administration Officer
Namubiru Goretti
Goretti ensures that OCE’s financial resources are well managed, properly utilized, and accounted for. She is responsible for all financial transactions, and prepares submissions of financial reports. She is a graduate of Makerere University in Kampala who holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with a focus on Accounting. She also has a diploma in secretarial studies.

Livelihoods Officer
Muhwezi Gresom
Gresom holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethics and Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University, but also has a diploma in Secondary Education and a certificate in HIV/AIDS Counseling from TASO Uganda. Gresom is responsible for monitoring programs and liaising with project assistants in implementation to improve the livelihoods of our community members. He has over 10 years experience in development work.

Project Assistant
Ssebudde Ibrahim
As project assistant, Ibrahim works directly with the project beneficiaries and is responsible for managing field operations. He has a diploma in Social Work and a background in project planning and management.

Community Health Specialist/ Peace Corps Volunteer
Thomas Nantz
Responsible for quality assurance at OCE, Thomas works in conjunction with Project Assistants, providing technical support and public health related interventions in Lyantonde. He also helps gain public interest and support through utilization of the organization’s website and social media. Thomas has a background in health sciences and holds a Master degree in Public Health.

Finance & Administration Volunteer
Ninsiima Hope
First introduced to OCE as an intern in June/July 2018, and has been a volunteer in our Finance and Administration department since June 2019. She graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration from Mbarara University of Science & Technology in October, 2019. Hope is also involved with community health work, assisting with facilitations in schools.
